Mystery Photo 4-25

Welcome to our last photo for April. How times flies, huh? A quarter of the year almost behind us. Onward and upward, right? Well, we can only hope. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any correct answers for our last photo. Maybe it was too new? Could be. The name of the film is Malasaña 32, or 32 Malasana Street as it is called on Amazon Prime. It came out in 2020 and directed by Albert Pintó and if you like creepy haunted house stories, this one packs a punch.

But let’s get to this week’s photos. Maybe this one might be a little easier to recognize, especially for those that have a love of older films. Okay, that’s a big enough hint for you! Check it out below and see what you think! Just remember to send your answer to me at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 4-18

Another Monday and another mystery photo! I had every plan to have this ready to go this morning, but you know how mornings can be. But better late than never. Before we get to this week’s photo, let’s go over the one from last week. It was from the strange 1976 film Dark August, starring Kim Hunter. Kudos to Kevin Hart and Troy Howarth for sending in the correct answer!

Now on to this week’s photo. Let’s see if this one is any easier . . . or harder! Take a peek and then send your guess to us at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 4-11

Sorry for the late posting but we were at the Cinema Wasteland show over the weekend and had one hell of a time, not to mention a very exhausting one. Didn’t get much sleep but had a blast seeing our convention friends and getting to hang out and talk movies all weekend! I may have bought a thing or two while there as well . . . But so glad to have a little escape from reality and see some old friends. So much fun. So many movies, so little sleep!

Our last photo was from the 2016 film Tonight She Comes, which must be a rare one because we didn’t get any correct answers sent in. Which is a shame since I think it is worth seeing. Might disturb a few people, maybe even offend their sense of taste, but you will have to admit that it is an effective film in what it tries to do. Or at least, that is MY opinion. So, proceed with caution!

Here is this week’s photo, so take a peek and see if this one is a little more recognizable. Just remember to send us your guess in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 4-4

Looks like last week’s photo was a little tougher than usual. We only got one correct answer sent in. The shot is from Jaume Balagueró’s 2011 film Mientras duermes, also known as Sleep Tight. If you haven’t seen it, pretty sure it will creep you out and not the one to be watching with the family on a nice Sunday afternoon! Congrats to William Wilson for sending in the correct answer.

Okay, for our first photo for April, let us see if anybody knows what film this shot is from? Take a peek, then send your guess to me in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 3-28

Sorry for the late posting, but I’m still trying to recover from HorrorHound Weekend. What an amazing time. But more on that a little later. Let’s get down to business. Our photo from last week was from Bruno Mattei’s Hell of the Living Dead, or Night of the Zombies, or Virus, or a half a dozen other titles. Yes, this isn’t definitely in the same league as Romero or Fulci, but it is a fun little flick. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Kevin Hart, Troy Howarth, Jennifer Stotler, and William Wilson. Well done!

Okay, our photo for today is NOT Italian, so hopefully that should make it much easier. Well, maybe. Give a peek and see what you think. Just remember to send us your guess in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 3-21

Back to the grindstone, as they say. But at least I’m hoping these little mystery photos are giving you some sort of enjoyment about your Monday! One can hope. The photo from last week was from the Italian film Panic (1982), starring David Warbeck and Janet Agren. Not the greatest film but a fun watch. The VHS box art was always one to draw in a potential viewer, which means it totally did its job! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Troy Howarth, Simon Jakobsen, Tim Palace, Michael Shields, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Great job! Always nice to see when obscure titles like this one get a little recognition.

But on to this week’s photo! This is another favorite of mine, mainly because we had it at the theater when I worked there, if that gives anybody a little hint on the time frame! But I think a lot of you are going to know this little tike in the photo! Remember, send me your answer in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 3-14

Look at that . . . already halfway through March! Next thing you know we’ll be baking in that summer heat waiting for the fall to come along. Well, I will at least. But back to business! Our photo from last week was from Dan Curtis’ version of Dracula (1974), starring Jack Palance. That is Nigel Davenport in the photo, putting an end to the Count. That was probably one of the earlier versions of the movie that I saw in my youth, along with a ton of other Dan Curtis projects! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Peggy Christie, Kevin Hart, George Hilton, Troy Howarth, Charles Miller, Lee Nattrass, Vincent Simonelli, William Wilson. Good show!

On to this week’s photo. Let’s see how many fans of the gooey stuff there are out there. Take a peek and email me your guess at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 3-7

Another month, another day closer to convention season starting for us, and of course, another Monday. But that means a new Mystery Photo, right? Well, last week’s photo was a bit of a tough one, both in trying to guess it as well as watching it! The film was from the film Killing Birds: Raptors (1988), but also known for its strange retitling Zombie 5: Killing Birds. Uh . . . Yeah. Anyway, congrats to the following that did send in the correct answer: Troy Howarth, Kevin Hart, and Will Wilson. Well done!

For this week’s photo, the title might be known to fans, but we’ll see if this particular shot comes to mind. Just remember to send your guess to me by email (that way I won’t forget!) at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 2-28

Welcome to our last Mystery Photo for this month! A little late today still making it in before the clock strikes midnight. Our last photo was from Amando de Ossorio’s last Blind Dead film, Night of the Seagulls (1975), and in my opinion, one of the best in the series! Congrats to the following for sending in the correct photo: Hoby Abernathy, Dave Fronto, Troy Howarth, & Bryan Senn.

Now on to today’s little picture. Give a good look and see what you can come up with. Just remember to send your guess to me in an email (jon@kitleyskrypt.com), that way it is a little tougher for me to lose it! Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 2-21

Welcome to another day closer to spring! I’m actually surprising myself, because I’m usually not one to long for warmer days, but this cold weather just might be getting to me! Granted, I’ll be complaining once it gets in the 80s, so yeah, there is no satisfying some people! But let’s get to the business at hand, shall we? Our last photo was from one of my favorites from the ’70s, Tower of Evil (1972), also known as Horror on Snape Island, which came out 50 years ago! Wow. How times flies, huh? But thanks to demented fans like ourselves, we keep these titles alive and well. Such as the following folks that sent in the correct answer for this week’s picture puzzle: Dada DeBaser, Kevin Hart, Troy Howarth, Charles Miller, Vincent Simonelli, Todd Warren, Nick Wilson. Well done!

Now on to this week’s photo. Might be harder. Might be easier. I’ll leave that up to you to do decide. But take a glance at it and see if you recognize it. Maybe it strikes a chord in your gray matter somewhere. Maybe not. If it does, send me your answer in an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!
