Mystery Photo 2-14

Happy Valentine’s Day! You’d like to think I might post a photo from one of the My Bloody Valentine movies, but I wouldn’t want to be that easy to figure out! But today’s photo does have a love element in there . . . sort of. But before we get to today’s photo, let’s cover last week’s pic! It was from Sergio Martino’s famous TORSO! A real staple of the giallo sub-genre. You can almost hear the name from the trailer . . . over and over and over again! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron Christensen, Chris Dyer, Troy Howarth, and Bryan Martinez. Have a shot of J&B! You deserve it.

Okay now that we’re up to date, take a peek below and see if you can recognize what title this little mystery moment is from? Just remember to send me your answers in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 2-7

Welcome to another Monday. I was so excited about the day starting that I forgot to post today’s new photo. Or something like that. Hope everyone is doing well out there and doing their best to hold it together. Just try to stay positive. Our photo from last week was from the man from Gleason, Wisconsin, Mr. Bill Rebane, and the film was his possessed piano movie, The Demons of Ludlow (1983). Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Kevin Hart, Bob Hartman, Gary McGuire, and Mark Turner. Anytime you can recognize a film from Mr. Rebane is a time to rejoice! Or maybe more of a badge of courage!

Today’s photo did not come from Wisconsin, and that is the only clue you’re getting! So, take a peek and see what you think! Just remember to email me your guess, at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-31

And here is our last photo for January already! Where does the time go? I was thrilled to see so many correct answers sent in for last week’s photo too! Being that I grew up on Made-for-TV horror movies, it seems that I wasn’t the only one that knew this one! It is from this 1973 tele-film The Devil’s Daughter, with a huge all-star cast, such as Shelly Winters, Belinda Montgomery, Robert Foxworth, Joseph Cotton, Diane Ladd, Robert Cornthwaite, Abe Vigoda, and even Jonathon Frid! Ah . . . those were the days. Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Gregory Avery, Brett Baish, Todd Barwick, Brian Doering, Chris Dyer, Dave Fronto, Kevin Hart, Bob Hartman, Troy Howarth, Doug Lamoreux, Gary McGuire, Charles Miller, Jeff Owens, and Todd Warren. Awesome job!

This week’s photo might be a little tougher. I know I always tend to say that, but let’s see how right I am. Just take a peek below and see what you can come up with. Just remember to send your answer in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-24

As easy the photo a week ago was, it seems our last photo was a little tougher bone to chew. Which I’m kind of surprised with all the talk of the recent box set on Folk Horror that Severin put out. It is from the film Tilbury, which is included in that fine set. A very strange film, indeed. The only one to send in a correct answer was Hoby Abernathy, so kudos to you!

This week we’ll go with one a little easier, at least we hope so. Take a peek below and see what you think. Just remember to email us your guess, at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-17

Welcome to Monday. The start of another week where we hope for a more positive outcome of our world. We can hope, right? As hard as it is, if we can make one person smile this week, or make one person’s day better, than I think that’s a good start. I’m going to try and do that with a little pictorial puzzle. Before we get to this week’s photo, I was surprised at the number of correct guesses for last week’s photo. Here I was thinking that because you couldn’t see Jonathan Frid’s face, it might be a little tougher. You guys proved me wrong! It was of course from Dan Curtis’ House of Dark Shadows (1970), the big screen version of the TV series. Kudos out to the following: Hoby Abernathy, Dave Fronto, Kevin Hart, Bob Hartman, Troy Howarth, Doug Lamoreux, Gary McGuire, Jeff Owens, Bryan Senn, Michael Shields, Vincent Simonelli, Mark Turner, Dave Voigt, Todd Warren, and William Wilson. Well done, indeed!

Now this photo is not going to be as easy, that I promise you, so we’ll how clever all of you are! Take a peek below and send in your guess in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-10

If you ever wandered the video store aisles back in the ’80s, then you most likely came across the box for our photo from last week. A big box case with one of those monkeys with the symbols on it, almost like it was watching you as you walked by! The film is The Attic (1980) starring Carrie Snodgress and Ray Milland. A little slow but definitely worth seeing, if only for Snodgress’ performance and to see how much of a jerk Milland can be! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Kevin Hart, Gary Miller, & William Wilson. Well done.

Okay, this week’s photo might be pretty easy, or a little tougher than you think. Let’s see how good you are. Take a peek and see what you can come up with. Remember, just send your answer to me through email (so I don’t forget) to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-3

Welcome to the new year! Hopefully everyone stayed safe over the holiday and is ready to start the new year right! And what better way to do that than get that brain working on a little pictorial puzzle? But first, our last photo from 2021 was from Invasion of the Blood Farmers (1972). Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron AuBuchon, Kevin Hart, Bob Hartman, Alan Tromp, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Well done!

For our first photo of the year, we decided to pick something a little obscure, but not too much, especially if you were one that was constantly browsing the video aisles back in the ’80s. You definitely would have remembered the box for this one. Just a little hint to start off the year right! As always, just send your answer to me at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-20

Welcome to Monday! Our last one before the big holiday this weekend, and one more week closer to calling this year over. Still hoping it will be better next year but doesn’t look like we’re heading in that direction anytime soon. But back to the task at hand. Our photo from last week was from the 2010 Hong Kong film Dream Home. First time I watched this one, it just blew me away. I’ve seen it several times since then and it still packs one hell of a punch. Not for the light-hearted, that is for sure. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Christopher Dyer, Kevin Hart, and Bryan Martinez. Well done!

Now on to this week’s photo. Another “new” title for me and I just loved it, so wanted to pass it on here. Take a peek and see if you recognize it. Just send your answer to me at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-13

I would have had this posted earlier, but good old Infinity decided on the day I took off work to be “working on repairing” an outage in my area, so I just go my internet back on. I mean, how did we ever live without this?!?!? Madness. Our photo from last week is from the Jean Rollin 1982 film La morte vivante, or more commonly known as The Living Dead Girl. While I’m not a huge fan of all of Rollin’s work, I do really like this one! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron AuBuchon, Troy Howarth, & James Turner. Well done!

This week’s photo is another favorite of mine, so let us see who else might recognize it. Just remember to email me your guess (to jon@kitleyskrypt.com). Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-6

Sorry for the late posting here but got the booster shot yesterday and it is kicking my butt! Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be back to normal. Well, whatever normal is! Okay . . . welcome to our first Mystery Photo of December! We’re leaving the Turkeys behind and going on to our regular photos. But before we get to today’s, let us cover last week’s mystery pic. It was from Children of the Corn: Runaway (2018), which no one correctly identified! I will say, out of all of the CotC movies I’ve seen, this was by far my favorite. Not sure why it has such a low rating on IMDB, but director John Gulager did a decent job telling a story of someone dealing with the demons of their past after they had escaped a cult.

But enough of that. Let’s get to this week’s photo. Take a peek below and see if you recognize it. Just remember, send me your guess in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!
