Mystery Photo 9-28

Happy Monday Everyone! Another Monday, another Mystery Photo. But before we get to today’s mystery pic, let’s talk about the one from last week. The shot is from the 1995 movie Habit, written, directed, AND starring Larry Fessenden. Now I know there might be a few of you out there that are tired to death of vampire films, but this one is different. Traditional in its approach, but different in the same aspect. I couldn’t recommend this film enough. And lucky for you, this is one of the films that is included in the Larry Fessenden Collection coming out from Shout Factory on October 20th. Make sure you check it out.

Congrats to the following scholars for identifying the correct movie: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron Christensen, & John Pata.

Now…on to this week’s business…our lastest photo. So take a good look, scratch your head and then send us your answer to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 9-21

Our last photo was from the classic sci-fi horror flick I Married A Monster from Outer Space, which I have to say is probably one of the best exploitation titles out there. With a title that tells you right up front what kind of feature you are going to see, you know you won’t be disappointed. So much fun here, folks. And it looks like a few of you out there remembered this shot and sent in the correct answer. They were: Aaron Christensen, Bill Harrison, Doug Lamoreux, Charlie Miller, and Michael Shields. Nice job!

So let us get to this week’s photo. Sure, we might have used another shot from this movie a year or so ago, but there is a method to my madness, as they say. So take a ponder at this poor fellow sitting there in his birthday suit and see if you can recognize which film this is from. Good luck.

Mystery Photo 9-7

Sure, it might be a holiday today, but its still a Monday, so that means a new Mystery Photo, right?

Of course, our last photo was from the film Scream, featuring a little cameo from director Wes Craven. I have to say it was so nice to see all the different tributes come out after his passing. Really shows the talent this made had as well as the impact he made on the genre. Here are the ones that sent in the correct answer: Jennifer Francis, Richard Garcia, David Greenwood, Doug Lamoreux, Erick Martin, Kevin Matthews, Dustin Moravich, Ashley Polnow, Richard Schellbach, Gavin Schmitt, Jason Siegel, Wayne Teeter, Kristin Wicks, Wiliam Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Well done, people.

So let’s get to this week’s photo. Definitely another classic. Make sure you think a bit before sending in your answer, since it might not be the one that immediately comes to mind. Or is it?

Remember, don’t post your answer here in the reply section, but send me an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 8-31

I must say, I was quite surprised at all the correct answers for our last photo. The shot was from the Italian film Night Train Murders, which is also known under a few other names. But we got a lot of correct answers, which really means that you people are a bunch of degenerates! And we welcome to the club with open arms!!! So a big kudos goes out to the following: Hoby Abernathy, Derek Botelho, Aaron Christensen, Jerry Downing, Doug Lamoreux, Kevin Matthews, Dustin Moravick, Vanessa Nocera, Gavin Schmitt, Wayne Teeter, Tom White, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Well done!

Now for this photo, it might be pretty easy, but as you can see, it is done in tribute for obvious reasons. But can you name the film? Just send us an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com if you can name the correct title. Good luck.

Mystery Photo 8-17

Our last photo didn’t get the same response as the one before, which is a surprise really due to the director was John Carpenter. That’s right, the shot was taken from the film he did right before Halloween, a made-for-TV movie called Someone’s Watching Me! Congrats go out to Cate Cameron and William Wilson for sending in the correct answer. I know I’ve forgotten to name a few people that have sent in the correct answer, so I do apologize. But the best way for me not to forget your guess is to send it to me in an email. That gives saved, so there’s little chance of me losing it.

Anyway, let’s get to this week’s photo. Might be a little tougher, but those are good every now and then, right? So here you go…take a peek and let me know what you think. And if you think you know it, just send us an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck.

Mystery Photo 8-3

Our photo from last week seemed to be a very popular one, which I’m guessing why we got so many correct answers sent in. The shot featured the late great Geoffrey Lewis in Tobe Hooper’s Salem’s Lot. The ones that did send in the correct answers were: Derek Botelho, Cate Cameron, Dahlia Daniels, Dave Felter, Troy Howarth, Doug Lamoreux, Erik Martin, Kevin Matthews, Freddy Morris, Ashley Polnow, Mike Tutino, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. You guys are making me proud!

But before we get this week’s photo, just a reminder…PLEASE do not attempt to post your answer in the reply section. Insteadn send them to me via email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. That way more people can play. Thanks.

Okay, now that the PCA is out of the way, here’s our latest photo. Think you know it? Are you sure? Then send us an email and let us know. That email again is jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck.

Mystery Photo 7-28

I realize that I’m a day late on posting this, but better late than never, right? Anyway, the shot is from the film What Lies Beneath, which I have to say isn’t a terrible movie, a pretty decent ghost story, especially coming from Hollywood. I had avoided it for years because of that. But worth seeing. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Derek Botelho, Cate Cameron, Dave Felter, and Ashley Polnow.

This week’s photo might look a bit familar, but then the more you think about it, it really could be from a few different films. Or could it? So let’s here your guesses! Just send them to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 7-20-15

Our eye-popping photo from last week was from the great Mexican classic, Night of the Bloody Apes. I can almost hear the trailer playing in my head when I see that title. So much fun. Anyway, only got a couple of emails with the correct answers, and they would be Hoby Abernathy and Alan Tromp. Well done, guys!

Now onto this week’s little photo. It seems I’ve unintentionally gone with another eye theme here. Wonder what is going through my head? Anyway, take a peek…and see what you can come up with. Send us your guess to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck.

Mystery Photo 7-13

Monday, Monday….and another Mystery Photo. But I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised at all the correct answers sent in for our last photo. The movie was The Revenant (2009) and is highly underrated, if you ask me. If you haven’t seen it, and are looking for a zombie-kind-of-back-from-the-dead-vigilante-action-comedy with some of the best special effects in an indie film that I’ve seen in a very long time….then, yeah. You might enjoy this one. Kudos to the following that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Neil Calderone, Neil Ian Kloster, Eric Kuhl, Justin Lafleur, Bryan Martinez, Dustin Moravick, Gavin Schmitt, Scott Stephens. Well done!

So let’s get to this week’s photo. Now don’t stare too close or you just might end up like the person in the photo. And we don’t want to be responsible for any of that. So take heed and tread lightly. But give it a peek and send your guess to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck.

Mystery Photo 7-6

Even after forgetting to update our Photo last week, giving everyone an extra week to try and figure it out, we still didn’t get anybody to correctly identify the movie. Well, I won’t complain too much since this movie and only recently been available on DVD and is kind of hard to find even then. The movie is Hand of Death, starring the always enjoyable John Agar. There is another famous shot of him running around in a trenchcoat and hat, that almost looks like Ben Grimm from the Fantastic Four. But really hard to go wrong with these ’50s & ’60s sci-fi/horror flicks. At least as far as I’m concerned.

So let’s go with something a little more current and a lot more twisted. Take a look a this poor fellow and see if you can recognize the movie it is from. Just remember, send me an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck.
