Mystery Photo 4-2

I briefly thought of posting a photo yesterday that wasn’t even from a movie but one that I took somewhere, just to see the answers I’d get, but there were too many of those April Fool’s things going on already and I didn’t feel I needed to add to it. So while it wasn’t posted this morning, we do have a new photo now. But first, let’s give a little congrats to Bill Harrison and Michael Shields for identifying our last photo from the film The Cosmic Man (1959), starring John Carradine. Nicely done!

So on to this week’s photo. Maybe it will be an easy one…maybe not. But give is a look and see what you got! As always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send them to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 3-26

After surviving our first convention of the year, getting very little sleep over the last few days, I was still determined to get this photo posted today. Before we get to it though, let us recap last week’s photo. It was from Tony Scott’s 1983 vampire tale The Hunger. I thought by showing Bowie from behind, it might stump you. Well…all but a few. Kudos to Gary Miller, Gavin Schmitt, and William Wilson. Well done!

So our next photo is from a slightly older film, so see if it rings a bell. As always, please do not post your answers here so others can have a guess. Just send them to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Yes, it is Monday, once again. But on the bright side, you have a new pictorial puzzle to ponder! Doesn’t that make it just a little bit better? Well…maybe if you recognize it…

Our photo from last week was from the underrated 1971 British film simply called Fright, starring Susan George, Honor Blackman, and Ian Bannen. A simple but well made little horror thriller. If you haven’t seen it, and like British films, then I would recommend checking it out. The ones that did recognize it were Hoby Abernathy, Craig Clark, Kuba Haczek, Troy Howarth, Ken Johnson, Sean Robinson, and Michael Shields. Well done, lads!

And without further babbling, here we are with this week’s photo. But first our usual warning. PLEASE do not post your answers here, so others can have a chance at guessing. Just send your guess to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 3-12

Holy crap…almost forgot to post this week’s photo! Been a crazy day, but that’s no excuse! Our last photo was from the 2001 Lovecraft-based film from Stuart Gordon, Dagon! Been a while since I’ve seen it but I remember enjoying the hell out of it. Besides, seeing the lovely Macarena Gómez in one of her first movie roles is worth the time right there! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron Christensen, Craig Clark, Kuba Haczek, Troy Howarth, Ken Johnson, Lori Ann Kuchta, Leon Marcelo, Phil Meenan, Kristin Wicks, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Nice to see so many names!

Okay, before the day’s over, let us get to this week’s photo. It is from another favorite of mine. Just look at how this frame is shot! Just brilliant! As always, PLEASE remember not to post your answers here but instead send them in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 2-26

Monday once again. Can you feel the excitement? I know I can. Or its just the medication. Either way….Our photo from last week was from film that I saw in my teenage years, I believe on HBO, and really enjoyed it. I’ve always been a sucker for a good monster flick and I felt this one delivered. Sure, the creatures are a little goofy when you finally do see them, but I didn’t mind. Oh yeah…the movie title! I’m talking about the 1981 film The Boogens. Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answers: Hoby Abernathy, Robert Freese, Dave Fronto, Charlie Miller, Michael Shields, and William Wilson.

On to this week’s little pictorial puzzle. Give is a good look and see what you can come up with. But once again, please, please, PLEASE do not post your answers here in the comment section so others can have a guess. Instead, just send it to us in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 2-19

Welcome to that wonderful time of the week again. Monday? No…I was referring to the Mystery Photo. Last week’s photo was from one from Hammer Studios, as they were desperately trying to stay afloat. The film was The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires (also known as a few other titles as well). Sure, its not one of their better ones, but it still can be a little fun. Kudos to the following that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Troy Howarth, & Bryan Ruff. Well done!

Now onto this week’s photo. See if you fair as well this time out. Maybe you’ll know this one. Maybe not. But give it a look and see what you can come up with. And as always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance at it. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 2-12

Welcome back to our regular (or usually regular) feature….our Mystery Photo. Hopefully for those out there that don’t get the photo, when you do find out the name of it, that it sits somewhere in your brain, just waiting to come across it at some point, and think “Hey…there was a mystery photo from that before…I should watch that!” That is my devious plan all along. Granted, some of these might be less than stellar films, but that is the chance you’ll have to take!

Our photo from last week was from the 1974 Italian film The Perfume of the Lady in Black. Congrats to the following that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Kuba Haczek, Troy Howarth, Ken Johnson, Will Wilson, and Greg Wojick.

Now on to this week’s photo. Please remember, do NOT post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send us an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 2-5

Monday, Monday, once again. But now it’s February, so we’re a little closer to spring, right? Got to look on the bright side….

Okay…so the only one to send in a correct answer for last week’s photo was Hoby Abernathy. So kudos to you, Hoby, for recognizing the shot was from the movie Invisble Invaders (1959). Not one that is talked about too often, and not a great film, but a fun one to pass 67 minutes of your time.

So this week, we’re going back to color, so hopefully this might be a little easier. Or not. Please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send your guess to us in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-29

Welcome to our last Mystery Photo of the month. Went by pretty quick, didn’t it? Next thing you know, convention season will be here, and then Halloween! Okay…maybe not that soon and let’s not get ahead of ourselves, but let’s get to the topic at hand. Our photo from last week was from the 1955 film Cult of the Cobra, with an all star cast such as Faith Domergue, Richard Long, Marshall Thompson, and even David Janssen. Sorry to those of you who thought it was from It Came from Outer Space, which I’m sure the little bubble effect fooled you! Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Bill Harrison, Troy Howarth, and Michael Shields.

Now onto this week’s photo. Going with another black and white classic. Yeah, I’m just a sucker for a good old fashion black and white film. Anyway, take a look and see if you can come up from where this is from. As always, please remember not to post your answer here so others can have a guess. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-22

Better late than never, right? It is Monday after all, so it sure has lived up to it’s name today! But let us get at it before the day is finally over!

Our photo last week was believe it or not, not from a Coffin Joe picture, which we had a few that sent in that. But I can totally see how it sure might look like him. But in fact, it was from Hammer’s Kiss of the Vampire (1963). Mr. Troy Howarth was the only one to send in the correct answer, so well done, Troy!

Now on to this week’s photo. I can tell you that it isn’t from a Coffin Joe flick this time out either! So give it a peek and see what you can come up with. As always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send me an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!
