Mystery Photo 2-5

Monday, Monday, once again. But now it’s February, so we’re a little closer to spring, right? Got to look on the bright side….

Okay…so the only one to send in a correct answer for last week’s photo was Hoby Abernathy. So kudos to you, Hoby, for recognizing the shot was from the movie Invisble Invaders (1959). Not one that is talked about too often, and not a great film, but a fun one to pass 67 minutes of your time.

So this week, we’re going back to color, so hopefully this might be a little easier. Or not. Please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send your guess to us in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-29

Welcome to our last Mystery Photo of the month. Went by pretty quick, didn’t it? Next thing you know, convention season will be here, and then Halloween! Okay…maybe not that soon and let’s not get ahead of ourselves, but let’s get to the topic at hand. Our photo from last week was from the 1955 film Cult of the Cobra, with an all star cast such as Faith Domergue, Richard Long, Marshall Thompson, and even David Janssen. Sorry to those of you who thought it was from It Came from Outer Space, which I’m sure the little bubble effect fooled you! Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Bill Harrison, Troy Howarth, and Michael Shields.

Now onto this week’s photo. Going with another black and white classic. Yeah, I’m just a sucker for a good old fashion black and white film. Anyway, take a look and see if you can come up from where this is from. As always, please remember not to post your answer here so others can have a guess. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-22

Better late than never, right? It is Monday after all, so it sure has lived up to it’s name today! But let us get at it before the day is finally over!

Our photo last week was believe it or not, not from a Coffin Joe picture, which we had a few that sent in that. But I can totally see how it sure might look like him. But in fact, it was from Hammer’s Kiss of the Vampire (1963). Mr. Troy Howarth was the only one to send in the correct answer, so well done, Troy!

Now on to this week’s photo. I can tell you that it isn’t from a Coffin Joe flick this time out either! So give it a peek and see what you can come up with. As always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send me an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-15

After being sick pretty much all weekend, not sure if Monday is a good thing or not! But none the less, that didn’t stop me from coming up with a new Mystery Photo for you. Our photo from last week was from Mario Bava’s A Bay of Blood (1971), or Twitch of the Death Nerve, Carnage, or any of the other half dozen titles it’s known for. I gave credit to anybody that sent in the correct film, no matter the title. And those are the following: Martin Meeks, Dustin Moravich, James Schmeichel, and Troy Howarth. Well done!

Now on to this week’s photo. To some it might seem pretty easy, others might think they know right away, but you might want to re-think it. Confuse you enough? Good. Just remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 1-8

Greeting, fellow movie fanatics! Hopefully this Monday will be nice to you. We got a pretty good response from our last photo, which is always nice. Of course, the photo was from the 2001 masterpiece from the (now Golden Globe winning director) Guillermo del Toro, The Devil’s Backbone. Such a great piece of cinema. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Scott Bradley, Cate Cameron, Craig J. Clark, Kuba Haczek, Jinx, Bryan Martinez, Dustin Moravich, Kristin Wicks, and William Wilson.

Now on to this week’s pictorial puzzle. Take a peek and see what you can come up with. As always, please do not post your answers here so others can have a guess. Good luck!

Happy New Year! All set for another year of pictorial puzzles to ponder? I know it has been a while since we’ve had one of these, but figured with the holidays, we all had things to keep us busy. But it’s a new year and we’re back with our first photo. But before we get to it, let’s go over our last one. It was from the 2012 film Grabbers, which I have to say is a perfect film to have watched on New Year’s Eve. I mean when you have a plot that involves monsters that won’t eat you if your drunk, what better night to watch then last night, right? But kudos to Scott Bradley and William Wilson for sending in the correct answer.

Now on to our first photo of the year. Might be an easy one, or maybe it might have you scratching your head. Just remember not to post your answers here, but send them to me in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-18

It’s still Monday, so it still counts…even though I usually have these posted a little early than now! But better late than never, right? Okay…lets not waste anymore time. Our photo from last week was a bit tougher, huh? Maybe because it was a shot from the German vampire film Jonathon (1970). Unfortunately, we got no correct answers this time out.

But maybe this week’s photo might be a little easier, one that you won’t lose your head over…..yeah….I went there. Anyway, take a peek at this week’s photo and see what you can come up with. Just remember not to post your answers here so others can have a go at it. Just send in your guess to us at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-11

In all the years I’ve been doing these little mystery pics, I don’t think I’ve had this many correct answers sent in. And since it is an old classic film instead of a new popular one, that makes it even more special for me because it is obviously not just me that grew up watching this great little piece of cinema. The film of course is The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966), starring the always amusing Don Knotts. Congrats to the following that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Todd Barwick, Scott Bradley, Aaron Christensen, Mike Ferguson, Bill Harrison, Rick Hayden, Angela Hermann, Troy Howarth, Ken Johnson, Doug Lamoreux, Michael Shields, Mark Turner, Dave Voigt, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Well done, folks!

Okay…let us take a gander at this week’s photo. Might be a little tougher this time out, but we’ll see. Just remember, please don’t post your answers here so everyone else can have a go at it. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 12-4

Happy December! That’s right…only a few more weeks before 2017 is over and done and we can hope that 2018 is a little better. I did say “hope”….but for now, let’s get to our new Mystery Photo. Before we do, our last photo was from Hammer’s 1963 black and white thriller Maniac. This was after the success of Hitchcock’s Psycho, Hammer decided to try their hand and these kind of thrillers with a nice twist at the end, which they did a rather nice job of too! The following sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Cate Cameron, Craig J. Clark, Troy Howarth, and Michael Shields. Well done!

Now on to this week’s photo. Might be an easy to some, others might have to study it a little bit before it comes to them. I will say this was a staple viewing of my childhood, if that gives you any hint. Just remember not to post your answers here so that everyone can have a chance at them. Just send them to us in an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 11-27

Hopefully everyone survived Turkey Day and are ready to dive back into the work week! Or at least a new Mystery Photo. How about we just start with that and see how the rest goes…

Last week’s photo was from Frozen Scream (1975), which just happened to be one of the titles featured in our recent Turkey Day Marathon. So right there should tell how good the movie is! We only had two correct answers sent in this time. Hoby Abernathy and Aaron Christensen. Nice job, guys!

But let us get this week started and get to our new photo. Another black and white classic, so maybe that might be a little easier. We’ll just have to see.

As always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send your guess to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!
