Yeah, yeah…running a little late today. But better late than never, right! I will say that I thought for sure that I would stump everyone with last week’s photo, since it is a little obscure independent but I was proved wrong, by THREE people! The film is called Wendigo, or Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo, that came out in 1995. If you like stop-animated monsters, than you’ll enjoy this one. This one is a prime title for a Turkey Day marathon and will be screening this November at ours. I got to say I was pretty happy to see all the answers coming in from last week’s photo. I thought by using an old black and white one of just a little child that it might stump most of you, but oh how I was wrong. Indeed, the little girl was about to scream THEM!, which is where the photo is from. One of the best of the giant insect movies ever made! It’s always nice to start the week off with a little bit of trivia, right? Hoping to make it start off on a good note if you recognize our little photo. For this last one, quite a few people knew that the screen shot was from Bob Clark’s 1974 film Deathdream (or Dead of Night, or The Night Andy Came Home). Wasn’t sure if I was going to have a new photo this week, since we just got back into town last time, but since I have today off, I figured I could make time. Welcome to Monday, once again. Starting the week off very early, so better get this posted now. Our last photo was from the infamous José Mojica Marins, or better known as Coffin Joe. The film was the second film in his Coffin Joe Trilogy, Esta Noite Encarnarei no Teu Cadáver (1967), or as most of us know it, This Night I’ll Possess Your Corpse. There is nothing quite like a Coffin Joe movie, as fans of his movies know quite well. Yes, it is that time again … Monday morning. But at least we have a new Mystery Photo, which should make starting the day off just a little better, right?
