Mystery Photo 12-31

Well folks, we’ve made it through another year of Mystery Photos. I hope that these have been a lot of fun for you and have hopefully given you more than a few movies to seek out because of them. Our last photo was from Fritt vilt II (2008), also known as Cold Prey 2. Hard to believe that film came out 10 years ago. Time flies. Congrats to Hoby Abernathy and Lee Nattrass for sending in the correct answer.

For our last photo of 2018, I thought I’d make it a good one. Shouldn’t be too easy unless you’re a fan of a particular actor and country from where this was made. Either way, take a good look and see what you can come up with. Please remember not to post your answers here so that others can have a guess. Just send your guess to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Almost didn’t get this posted today. With a busy weekend, we just didn’t get around to it until now. So hopefully this will make up for such a great start to the week, right? Before we get to the new photo, our one from last week was from The Return of Dracula (1958), starring Francis Lederer in the title role. Congrats to the following for sending in their correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Dave Fronto, and Troy Howarth. Well done.

Okay, so because it is winter time and some of us have snow on the ground, or it is at least a little chillier than normal, I thought it would be a nice idea to go with something that was close to that. Yeah, as tempting as it was to go with a holiday one…too easy. So here it is. Take a peek and see what you come up with. As always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just email them to me at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Now usually the films that I post photos of tend to be older ones. The reason for that is because I wanted to bring a little attention to a title that may be getting lost in the shuffle with all these other titles coming at fans each and every day. I picked the film from our last photo for the very same reasons, except this is a film that came out this year and I feel needs to be seen by more people. It is called May the Devil Take You (2018) and was directed by Timo Tjahjanto. Don’t want to give anything away about the film but I found it very entertaining and damn right creepy. Give is a try. Needless to say, nobody sent in the correct answer either. But at least now you have another title to put on your To-Watch list!

Let’s get to this week’s photo. This one is an older one, so maybe this will be a little easier. Take a look and see what you think. As always, please do not post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just email them to us at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-3

Last week’s photo was from a great title if you’re looking for some good old fashion Euro-Trash cinema, Mario Mancini’s Frankenstein ’80, starring Gordon Mitchell as Dr. Frankenstein this time out. Not sure I could “recommend” this title to those new to cult cinema, but I would think it needs to be experienced at least once! Kudos to Troy Howarth and Michael Shields for sending in the correct answer.

Now onto this week’s photo, our first for the new month of December. Let’s see how you start off the new month. Take a good look and see if you recognize this one. As always, please remember not to post your guess here so that others can have a chance. Just send them to me in an email (jon@kitleyskrypt.com). Good Luck!

Since it was around that time of year, I couldn’t help but use one of the photos from our recent Turkey Day. The film is Attack of the Beast Creatures (1985) and I’m still waiting for someone to put out a nice little Blu-Ray special edition of this! While wishing, not only do I want a Blu-ray of this, how about a little 12″ action figure of one of the creatures?!?!? If you haven’t seen this little gem, imagine a whole island filled with the little Zuni Fetish dolls from Trilogy of Terror (1975). While there are more than a few sequences of a group of survivors from a sunken cruise ship, when the title happens on screen, it is nothing short of epic. Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron Christensen, and Alan Tromp.

Now onto this week’s photo. Might be another entry for a Turkey Day marathon. Or maybe just a shot of the afterwards of a Turkey Day celebration. You decide. But as always, please do not post your answers here so that others can have a chance to guess. Instead, just send your answer to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 11-19

Another late day, but still an updated photo. Wouldn’t want to disappoint anybody! Our last photo was from the entertaining British flick The Earth Dies Screaming (1964), directed by Terence Fisher. A short little film, but pretty damn fun. Check it out if you haven’t already. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Aaron Christensen, Dave Fronto, and Troy Howarth.

Now onto this week’s photo. This might be an obvious choice because of the time of year, but I figured I’d throw it out there anyway. If anything, maybe it will bring some much needed attention to this little gem! So take a peek and see what you come up with.

Please remember not to post your answers here, but send them to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

I have to say that I’m rather disappointed in a few of you out there for not getting last week’s photo. You should be ashamed. It was from Paul Naschy’s Curse of the Devil (1973). But our good friend Hoby Abernathy did recognize it, after searching for a bit, but he still got it. So congrats out to him!

Maybe today’s photo will be a little easier. Maybe. Take a peek and see what comes to mind. Gotta love those old black and white films. At least I do! As always, please remember not to post your answers here so others can have a chance. Just send them to me in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 11-5

A little late today, but still Monday from where I’m sitting. Last week’s photo was from the wonderful world of Al Adamson and his movie Brain of Blood (1971). In that photo was the esteemed actors Kent Taylor and Grant Williams with the lovely Regina Carrol in between them. On the table was the imitable John Bloom, a 7’4″ actor who always made an impact on screen. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Dustin Moravich, Michael Shields, and Mike Tutino. Well done.

This week’s photo doesn’t involve a brain, but a skull…of some sort. Let’s see what you can come up with. As always, please remember not to post your answers here so other can have a guess. Just send them to us in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 10-29

Halloween is almost upon us. Hopefully everyone out there has been enjoying and indulging in the season! I know I have been trying to do my best! But let’s get to the business at hand. Last week’s photo was from El mundo de los vampiros (1961), better known here in the states as The World of Vampires. While this film may have some weird and crazy shit going on, the atmosphere is just amazing. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Doug Fronto, Angela Hermann, Troy Howarth, & Michael Shields.

Now for this week’s photo. Might be a tough one, or fairly easy for some of you. Take a look and find out. As always, PLEASE remember not to post your answers here so that others can have a chance at guessing. Just send your guess to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 10-22

While I still am recovering from our weekend at the Monster Bash Conference in Mars, PA, I wasn’t going to forget to get a new photo posted today. Priorities, right? Before we get to the new one, let us go over last week’s photo. It was a shot from one of the most famous double features in cult movie history. Our pic was from the second and lesser known feature, was directed by Del Tenney and was originally titled Zombies or Zombies, or even Invasion of the Zombies, but wasn’t released right away. Distributor Jerry Gross picked it up, re-titled to I Eat Your Skin for his famous double feature run, following I Drink Your Blood. The rest is exploitation history.

Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy & Michael Shields. Well done, guys!

Now on to this week’s photo. Take a look at this guy’s organ! Seriously! Then see if you can recognize what film it is from. Please remember not to post your answers here, so that others can have a guess. Just send your guess to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!
