Mystery Photo 6-29

A little last in the day, but it is still Monday. At least, I know it sure still feels like a Monday! Our photo from last week was from a sequel, Night of the Demons 2 (1994), once again showing the evils of having parties while in high school! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Dada Debaser, Kevin Hart, Ryan Olson, and William Wilson. Well done, indeed!

Okay, so this one might be pretty easy, or maybe it will be enough to think you know it but can’t seem to pull the title out of your head. Either way, it is fun one to ponder. Take a peek and see what you think! Then send your guess to me in an email, at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 6-19

Since our photo from last week was a little obscure, getting only one correct answer sent in, I hope that everyone seeks this film out because it is more than worth your time! The film is The Nightshifter (2018), a Brazilian film that is pretty original and damn creepy. Kudos to Hoby Abernathy for sending in the correct guess.

Our photo from this week might be a little easier, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Take a peek below and see if you can recognize where this little beastie is from. Just remember to send your guess to me in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 6-12

I think there might be a lot of readers out there that are not going to be so happy they missed this last photo. It’s not an strange foreign title lost obscurity, but actually one of the best adaptations of a Stephen King novel (in my opinion). The film is The Dead Zone (1983), directed by David Cronenberg. I had recently rewatched it since it had been a while and was reminded just how good it really is. Also, it was great seeing all the different Cronenberg actors with little cameos here and there. Congrats to the following that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Mike Shields, and William Wilson.

Let us see what we can get with this week’s photo. A real good one, this one is! Take a peek and see what you can come up with. Just remember to send your answer to me in an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 6-5

Welcome to the first Monday of June. For most of us, that just means the Halloween season is just 4 months away. So as we avoid the sun and heat (okay, maybe that’s just me), before we know it, the leaves will turn and fall, the temps will drop (hopefully) and it will be Halloween before we know it. Got to focus on something positive, right? Speaking of positive, let’s get to last week’s photo and all the correct answers we got. The shot is from the film Targets (1968) from director Peter Bogdanovich. Very unsettling, with its feet both in the terrors in the reel world and the real world. Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Scott Bradley, Dave Fronto, Kevin Hart, Christopher Highland, Troy Howarth, Bryan Senn, William Wilson. Well done!

For this week’s photo, I decided to go with a favorite of mine. But I decided to go with a shot that might be a little obscure. I guess we’ll just see how good you are out there! Just remember, send your guess to me in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 5-29

Our photo from last week is from one of the best exploitation titles out there! The Screaming Skull from 1958. Too bad it’s more sizzle than steak, as they say. But we had a lot of correct answers sent in, so that’s awesome. Or should I say THEY are awesome. They were Hoby Abernathy, Chris Buckley, Peggie Christie Christopher Dyer, Dave Fronto, Kevin Hart, Bob Hartman, Lee Nattrass, Richard Schellbach, Mike Shields, and Alan Tromp. Great job, people!

So, see if we can repeat that trend with this new photo. Take a good look and see if you can recognize where this shot is from. Just remember to send your guess to me in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 5-22

Thought I forgot about the Mystery Photo today, huh? Nope. Just didn’t get it ready on Sunday like I usually do, but nonetheless, here it is! But before that, let’s get to our last photo. It was from the 1987 film Anguish, starring Michael Lerner and Zelda Rubinstein. Great little flick, if you haven’t seen it. Kudos to the following that did send in the correct photo: Hoby Abernathy, Kevin Hart, Christopher Highland, Troy Howarth, Eli LaChance, Gary Miller, Mike Shields, Kristin Wicks, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Well done!

Okay, let’s get to this photo before Tuesday comes a knocking! Take a peek, see what you think, and then send your answer to me at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 5-15

Happy Monday! Yeah, I know. Doesn’t work too often for me either. But nonetheless, we do have a new Mystery Photo, so that’s a positive, right? We only got one correct answer sent in for last week’s grisly little photo, which was from the 1981 Hong Kong film Corpse Mania. Yes, lots of maggots in that one! Congrats to Jason Lane for sending in that one and only correct answer! Well done!

On to this week’s photo, which is a personal favorite of mine and one that I think is pretty underrated. So, give it a peek and see what you can come up with. Just remember, send your answer to me in an email, to jon@kitleyskrypt.com, that way I won’t lose it. Well, I have a better chance NOT to lose it, put it that way! Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 5-8

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but it seems that things just keep getting in the way. But at least we’re here with a new Mystery Photo, right? Small steps! Our last photo was from the uber-family fun movie, The Other (1972). Boy, you want to kill a good mood, just sit down with this one! Great movie, but damn does it pack a punch, several times throughout the running time! Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Gregory Avery, Peggy Christie, Dave Friedman, Todd Warren, and William Wilson. Well done!

On to today’s photo. This one is also a little unsettling, or at least from the photo! So only take peek if you’re not squeamish! Oh no . . . too late. If you can stand to look, and think you know what it is, don’t forget to email your guess to me, at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 5-1

Yes, we are back with a new photo. Not sure what happened last week other coming off from a very busy weekend, from a convention and a little movie marathon. But enough excuses, right? Let’s get down to business. Our last photo was from the Spanish director Carlos Enrique Taboada, who was completely unknown to me until Vinegar Syndrome released a nice little set of 3 of his movies. One of them, which is where the photo is from, is Poison for the Fairies (1986). Kudos to Hoby Abernathy for sending in the correct answer!

On to the first photo for the new month. Take a look and see what you think and if you can recognize where it is from. Just remember to send your answer to us in an email (so I don’t lose it!) to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 4-17

Welcome back to Monday, one more day closer to Halloween, right? We’re halfway there now, so just keep muddling along and we’ll be there before you know it!

Last week’s photo was from the one and only Mardi Gras Massacre (1978), one of the original Video Nasties in the UK, and recently released on Blu-ray by Severin Films. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Dada Debaser, Kevin Hart, and Mike & Mia Kerz. Well done!

This week’s photo is going to be a little more obscure, but let’s see who might be able to recognize it. Take a look and see what you can come up with. Just remember to send your answer to me in an email (so I don’t lose or forget it!) to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good Luck!
