David Del Valle is one of these tireless journalists, commentator, film buff, historian, or any number of titles you could put on him. He was always there to put the spotlight on a certain film, a particular star, and give his insight that most of us had no clue of. My first introduction to him, that I can vividly remember was Vincent Price: The Sinister Image, which as about an hour-long interview with Price, which I just found fascinating. From that point on, I would always see his name pop up on different things. I can’t remember where it was, but I saw an interview he did with Cameron Mitchell, which was done later in the actor’s career, and I found that so interesting, making me rethink what about thought about this actor, especially his later work.
While we had been Facebook friends for years and chatted online a couple of times, I got to meet him in 2019 when I went out to Monsterpalooza. So, it was a sad moment yesterday when I saw the news that he had passed. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family during this difficult time. Thank you, David, for all the learning and education you had given to us over the years. Your knowledge and insight will be missed.
