Last week’s pic was from that family friendly film Buio Omega, also known as Beyond the Darkness or Buried Alive, depending on which format you originally saw this little treat from director Joe D’Amato. Yes, it is  a brutal little film, isn’t it? But it does have some fans because we got quite a few correct answers sent in. It was from the wonderful cheesy slasher film The Mutilator from 1984, when plots and quality acting didn’t matter, as long as we had some gore. And in this film, we had plenty of that! Happy Monday Folks! And such a glorious day, isn’t it? Yeah…okay…I’ll cut the crap. At least I hope it is a good day. In light of recent events, let us take a second to step away from reality and put your brain somewhere else…just for a few seconds…and see if you can’t identify our latest photo. But first, let’s back up a little and go over last week’s photo. It was from Eugenio Marin’s 1972 epic Horror Express, starring a wide array of stars such as Telly Savalas, Alberto de Mendoza, Victor Israel, Silvia Tortosa, and Helga Liné. Oh yeah and two British actors, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Heard of them?

Last week’s photo is from one of my favorite movies from my childhood, even though I never had the chance to see it until way into my 20s! I know that doesn’t make sense but I can vividly remember seeing the trailer for The Car (1977), but never got to see it in the theater back then. Had to wait until years later and find a crappy looking bootleg before I could finally see it. And I still loved it! Of course, it is on DVD and Blu-ray for all to see! I have to say I’m thrilled to see so many people send in the correct answer. Hello Monday! Yeah…I’m feeling the same way. But that is not going to stop us from having another Mystery Photo Monday, is it? I know our updates have not been as plentiful these last couple of weeks, but we’ve been a little busy around the Krypt here getting ready for the holidays. But have no fear, we’re still here!

Our last photo was from the hilariously twisted 2006 British film Severance from Christopher Smith. Such a demented little flick, huh? Pie, anyone? Our first Monday in December. Hopefully these next four weeks are a fast one and we can start 2017 afresh! But in the meantime, lets get down to business. Our photo from last week was from one of few times Boris Karloff appeared as a scientist/doctor bringing someone back from the dead. Okay…maybe he made more than a couple of those.
