The fine folks at the Riverside Drive-In and DVD Drive-In have announced their lineup for this year’s spring show, and as usual, they have one hell of a lineup. Friday the 26th, you have a mixture of different types of zombie films, then on Saturday the 27th, you have a nice bunch of sci-fi/horror films that were almost made to be seen at the drive-in! HorrorHound Next Weekend!!!
Less than a week away and we’ll be packing up the Kryptic Van and heading to Cincinnati for HorrorHound Weekend! And just looking at the huge guest lineup, it looks like this is going to be one hell of a show, as always. There is going to be someone there for all fans of the genre, from a Hocus Pocus reunion, a Killer Klowns from Outer Space reunion with the Chiodo Bros., stars Grant Cramer and Suzanne Synder, as well as Harrod Blank & Mike Martinez who played a couple of the Klowns, to so much more. You have Ron Perlman, Doug Jones, Anthony Michael Hall, Quinn Lord, Dana Delorenzo & Ray Santiago, and so many more. They even have Milly Shaprio from Hereditary!

When you have a great score for a movie that you just happen to love and have seen many, many times, I tend to get a bit nervous when I hear the score has been “re-imagined”. Some of the sounds and themes are something you remember when from watching the film, so to change those in anyway can make a noticeable difference. Fortunately, any differences here weren’t enough to take away from the enjoyment of what this is…a re-imagining.
Killer Klowns 30th Year Anniversary Celebration!

Everyone may not love clowns, but everyone LOVES Killer Klowns from Outer Space, right? Well fans of this cult classic that live in the Los Angeles area are in for a big treat this May because the creators of this crazy feature are having a 30th Anniversary celebration of the film, that is going to feature circus performers, magicians, contortionist, balloon artists, fortune tellers, and all sorts of fun things, not to mention a screening of the picture with a live score!
The craziness begins at 6pm with all the above stuff. Then at 7pm, there is a Q&A with Stephen Chiodo (writer/director), Charles Chiodo (writer/art director), and Edward Chiodo (writer/producer), actors Grant Cramer & Suzanne Snyder, and members of the band The Dickies, and composer John Massari, all moderated by Jim Branscome of Cinematic Void.
