Mystery Photo 4-6

I have to say that I was pretty impressed and surprsed at the number of correct answers sent in for our last photo. And here I thought I was finding some obscure flick that very few would recognize. But apparently this film has a bigger following than I thought. The shot is that of an unlucky biker who stumbles across the creature from Night of the Demon, and teaches you what happens when you piss on Bigfoot! But a big kudos out to all the following who sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Babette Bombshell, Aaron Christensen, Matt Dean, Brett Harrison, Jason Kretten, Doug Lamoreux, Leon Marcelo, Matt Moore, John Pata, Louis Perchikoff, John Portanova, Wayne Teeter, and Will Wilson. You make me proud!

So let’s get to this week’s photo. Going a little old school here with a nice black and white film. We’ll see if this is as easy as our last. Good luck. Remember, please don’t post your answer here, but send me an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com.

Mystery Photo 3-30

Yes, I know it has been a while since our last Mystery  Photo. I can only blame it on being gone last weekend for the HorrorHound show. But since things on the weekend tend to happen, like conventions, I’ve decided to move these Mystery Photo posts to Mondays. That it will be at least one good thing to look forward to Mondays for, right?

Our last photo was from George Romero’s The Dark Half, which I just recently seen for the first time since it probably came out on video. But this little part where the frame grab was taken from really gets the jump from the audience. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer: Aaron Christensen, Matt Dean, Ken Johnson, Kevin Matthews, and Mike Tutino.

Mystery Photo 3-15

I just couldn’t help posting a shot from The Car for our last Mystery Photo. Since reviewing the soundtrack, I had to sit down and re-watch the movie. And for me, it never loses its charm. The scene that I used for the photo, with the headlights appearing in the window, is one thing I can remember from first seeing the trailer on TV. Kudos to the following for sending in the correct answer. And there were a few of you….Hoby Abernathy, Abe Bloom, Cate Cameron, Dahlia Daniels, Ken Johnson, Doug Lamoreux, Ivan Mccann, David Schmidt, G Edwin Taylor, and Wayne Teeter. Well done!

So let’s get on to this week’s photo. This one might be easy, or one that you might have to use your brain a bit. But be careful how hard you look…sometimes something will look back at you!

Just send me an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com with your answer.

Mystery Photo 3-8

I realized that the answer I posted in our last update was from the photo from 2 photos ago. The last one was from Shock Waves, and I said it was from Cold Prey. Needless to say, I’m as confused as you are.

But I at least know that our LAST photo was from the fun sci-fi/horror flick Missile to the Moon (1958). This is a great time if yo haven’t seen it, filled with not only these rock creatures but a bad-ass giant spider as well. I had seen scenes of this years ago thanks to It Came From Hollywood, but took years to realize which movie those scenes were from. And kudos to Hoby Abernathy and Doug Lamoreux for sending in the correct answer. Hopefully I didn’t forget anybody again this time. I blame too any hours at work.

Anyway, let’s get to this week’s photo. It might be an easy one but it has always been one of my favorite films as well as one of my favorite sequences. Remember this from the TV trailer years ago and it has always stuck with me.

And remember, please don’t post your answer in the comment section, but send me an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com. Good luck.

Mystery Photo

Since we’ve switched things around a bit with our updates, looks like we just might go back to our Mystery Photos on a weekly basis. But again, we do ask that you don’t post your answers here, but send me an email.

Our last photo was from the Norwegian film Cold Prey, which I would recommend. In fact, I would also recommend the sequel, Cold Prey 2, which I actually liked more than the first one. I know we didn’t have it up on the site for the full week due to some technical issues, but kudos out to the following that did send in the correct answer: Daniel Brenneis, Gavin Schmitt, Mike Shields, and Kristin Wicks.

Now on to this week’s photo. This is an oldie but a goodie. Shows that even though it might sound like a sci-fi movie, that doesn’t mean you’re not going to get some cool creatures! Okay..maybe not cool…but different!

Just send your guesses to jon@kitleyskrypt.com
