Mystery Photo 2-20

Greetings! Welcome to another Monday morning Mystery Photo! Last week’s pic was from that family friendly film Buio Omega, also known as Beyond the Darkness or Buried Alive, depending on which format you originally saw this little treat from director Joe D’Amato. Yes, it is  a brutal little film, isn’t it? But it does have some fans because we got quite a few correct answers sent in. They were: Hoby Abernathy, Scott Bradley, Dustin Moravich, Michael Shields, Wayne Teeter, Tom White, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Nicely done!

So on to this week’s photo. Might be an easy one…or not. We’ll have to wait and see. But take a good look and see if anything comes to mind. Good Luck!

And PLEASE, do not post your answers here, so everyone else can have a chance.

Mystery Photo 2-13

Welcome to another Monday morning. And that can only mean another Mystery Photo, right? Well, as usual, lets get to last week’s photo first. It was from the wonderful cheesy slasher film The Mutilator from 1984, when plots and quality acting didn’t matter, as long as we had some gore. And in this film, we had plenty of that! Congrats to the following for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Richard Garcia, William Wilson, and Greg Wojick. Nicely done!

Okay…so this shot is from a nice little love story. Seriously. See if you can’t identify the movie from the shot of this nice woman.

But PLEASE REMEMBER….Do NOT post your answers here but send them to me in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com. We want everyone to have a chance at the photo. Good luck!

Mystery Photo 2-6

Monday, Monday…yet again.

Our photo from last week was from Hammer’s Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb (1971), featuring the alluring Valerie Leon. Congrats to the following who sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Troy Howarth, & Alan Tromp.

Now on to this week’s photo. As always, please don’t post you answer here, so everyone has a chance. Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 1-30

As expected, the flood of correct answers that we’ve been getting in the last couple of weeks did not continue. In fact, we only received one correct answer, which was from Hoby Abernathy, who knew that it was from the 1988 film Vampire in Venice, starring the one and only Klaus Kinki. Well done, Mr. Abernathy!

So this week’s photo might be a little easier, depending on well you can recognize someone’s eyes. Maybe if you gaze into them long enough, the answer will come to you. Maybe. Either way…good luck.

Please remember not to post your answers here, but send them in an email to us at jon@kitleyskrypt.com.

Mystery Photo 1-23

Happy Monday Folks! And such a glorious day, isn’t it? Yeah…okay…I’ll cut the crap. At least I hope it is a good day. In light of recent events, let us take a second to step away from reality and put your brain somewhere else…just for a few seconds…and see if you can’t identify our latest photo. But first, let’s back up a little and go over last week’s photo. It was from Eugenio Marin’s 1972 epic Horror Express, starring a wide array of stars such as Telly Savalas, Alberto de Mendoza, Victor Israel, Silvia Tortosa, and Helga Liné. Oh yeah and two British actors, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Heard of them?

Kudos to the following people for sending in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Bill Harrison, Troy Howarth, Doug Lamoreux, Leon Marcelo, Michael Shields, David H. Smith, Jon Towlson, and Mike Tutino. Nice job, people!

Okay…it seems that I’ve been giving you pics that are a little easy. But not this week. This one is going to be tough. But I think some of you are up for the challenge, right? Then good luck to you….you’ll need it.

And as always, please remember not to post your answers here, so everyone has a chance at it. Thanks!

Mystery Photo 1-16

First of all, I have to say I am amazed at the amount of correct answers that were sent in for last week’s photo. I think this might be a record since I’ve been doing these. It really looks like you guys are having as much fun with these as I do posting them! Of course, the photo was a shot of Stephen Lang making a blazing exit from the film Manhunter (1986). Sorry…not Red Dragon. Here’s all the ones that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Cate Cameron, Aaron Christensen, Scott Finnegan, Richard Garcia, Jennifer Glonek, Jerry Downing, Bill Harrison, Troy Howarth, Jennifer Kilzer, Doug Lamoreux, Leon Marcelo, Kevin Matthews, Mike Mayo, Bryan Moose, Wayne Teeter, Mark Turner, Dave Voigt, William Wilson, and Neil Wright. Well done, people. Well done, indeed!

Okay, let us see if this one is a little harder on the brain for you…or at least harder than it is for the person in the photo! Take a look and see what pops in (or out) of your head. Good luck.

And please, as always, do not post your answers here, but send an email to me at jon@kitleyskrypt.com.

Mystery Photo 1-9

Last week’s photo is from one of my favorite movies from my childhood, even though I never had the chance to see it until way into my 20s! I know that doesn’t make sense but I can vividly remember seeing the trailer for The Car (1977), but never got to see it in the theater back then. Had to wait until years later and find a crappy looking bootleg before I could finally see it. And I still loved it! Of course, it is on DVD and Blu-ray for all to see! I have to say I’m thrilled to see so many people send in the correct answer. Kudos out the following: Hoby Abernathy, Scott Bradley, Dahlia Daniels, Scott Finnegan, Rick Hayden, Troy Howarth, Neil Kloster, Adam Knabe, Doug Lamoreux, Bryan Moose, Gavin Schmitt, Michael Shields, and Greg Wojick.

Okay, let’s get to this week’s photo. This is kind of how I feel sometimes going to work on Monday mornings….

And please, please, PLEASE, remember not to post your answers here so others can have the chance to make their guess. Good luck.

Mystery Photo 1-2

Happy New Year to everyone out there! Hopefully we can make this year a great one. And lets start that with putting your brain to work!

Our last photo was from the very twisted 1933 film Murders in the Zoo, starring Lionel Atwill. Surprising to see some of the stuff they got away with back in those early days. I’m a big fan of Atwill’s work back then and would highly recommend this one. Congrats to the following that sent in the correct answer: Hoby Abernathy, Gregory Avery, Cate Cameron, Aaron Christensen, Troy Howarth, Doug Lamoreux, Kevin Nickelson, and Vincent Simonelli. Well done!

Now onto our first Mystery Photo of 2017. We’re going back to the world of color for this one….one with a lot of blue! Please remember not to post your answer here, but send them to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com.

Good Luck!

Mystery Photo 12-26

So while this recent holiday might have been the cause of the lack of updates we’ve had (or not had) lately, that doesn’t mean I’m going to forget a Mystery Photo Day! But before we get to this week’s, let’s cover the photo from last week. It was from the Steven Spielberg’s made-for-TV movie Duel. The ones that sent in the correct answers were: Hoby Abernathy, Cate Cameron, and Doug Lamoreux. Well done!

Now on to this week’s photo. This poor chap was one of those that must have said the wrong thing to the wrong person to end up in this situation! So see if you can’t recognize where this is from.

Please remember not to post your answers here, so others can give it a try. Just send us an email at jon@kitleyskrypt.com.

Mystery Photo 12-19

Hello Monday! Yeah…I’m feeling the same way. But that is not going to stop us from having another Mystery Photo Monday, is it? I know our updates have not been as plentiful these last couple of weeks, but we’ve been a little busy around the Krypt here getting ready for the holidays. But have no fear, we’re still here!

Our last photo was from the hilariously twisted 2006 British film Severance from Christopher Smith. Such a demented little flick, huh? Pie, anyone? Kudos out to the following that did send in the correct guess: Hoby Abernathy, Doug Lamoreux, Lee Marohn, Kevin Matthews, Dustin Moravich, Gregg Olheiser. Well done!

Now to this week’s pictorial challenge. I tried to use a shot that shouldn’t be as easy to recognize. Wait…does that mean I’m using an easy movie title? Could be. Or maybe I’m just making you think it is, while in reality it is from some obscure little flick that few have heard of. Now would I do something like that? Anyway…give a look and then send in a guess.

Please remember not to post your answers here, but send them to us in an email to jon@kitleyskrypt.com.

And good luck!
