Okay, when I can stump even the great Hoby Abernathy, then I know I’ve picked a pretty tough mystery photo. That’s right, nobody sent in the correct answer on this one, though a few did have a good guess. And if you didn’t get it, I don’t think you should feel too bad about it, nor would I suggest you run out and find and watch this flick. It was from the 1978 film Doctor Dracula, which Al Adamson co-directed. Great movie? Uh…no. Worth watching…uh….that’s on you.

So this week’s photo might be a little easier, especially if you’ve been paying attention to my recent posts. There’s a hint if you ever needed one. That should make up for this last one! Good luck!

Welcome to Monday! Hopefully you are getting to enjoy this day as a holiday, like I am. If not…uh…sorry. But even though this is a holiday, I still made sure you had a new Mystery Photo today. This is a lot of work, you know! Okay…maybe not a LOT….

A little late today, but better than nothing, right? We didn’t get back until late last night from our trip to Mars, PA for this year’s Monster Bash. Had an amazing time, as usual. But let’s get down to business. The only two that sent in the correct answer, unless I lost another one, was Hoby Abernathy & Troy Howarth. The shot was from Antonio Margheriti’s Long Hair of Death (1964), starring the alluring Barbara Steele. Worth seeing if you haven’t.

Greetings, my fellow film fanatics! Here we are back for another photo puzzle on this film Monday morning. But, as always, before we get to this week’s photo, let’s recap what we posted last week. In honor of his birthday on Saturday, I thought it would nice to give him a little nod in our Mystery Photo. I’m talking about Lucio Fulci, of course. And the picture is from his 1990 film Demonia. How can one go wrong with demonic Italian nuns? Kudos to Hoby Abernathy, Doug Lamoreux and Will Wilson for sending in the correct answer.

Monday once again. And now that summer has really kicked in, it makes the day even more enjoyable…not! Counting the days until fall starts. Anyway, before we get to this week’s photo, let us go over last week’s. It was from the 1957 flick Zombies of Mora Tau, starring the lovely Allison Hayes! While not the zombies we know these days, they did manage to create a few chilling moments in this fun little monster movie. Kudos to Hoby Abernathy and Doug Lamoreux. Nicely done.

Our photo from last week was from a film that is sadly missing from any DVD or Blu-ray release, though I’ve been told for the last decade it seems that “its coming”, but we’ll just have to wait and see. But the film of which I speak of is the 1987 slimy monster flick The Kindred. If you can find a copy, I’d definitely check it out. Lots of great old fashion rubber monster effects that are pretty damn cool. Kudos out to Gary Miller and William Wilson for sending in the correct answer.
