After being sick pretty much all weekend, not sure if Monday is a good thing or not! But none the less, that didn’t stop me from coming up with a new Mystery Photo for you. Our photo from last week was from Mario Bava’s A Bay of Blood (1971), or Twitch of the Death Nerve, Carnage, or any of the other half dozen titles it’s known for. Happy New Year! All set for another year of pictorial puzzles to ponder? I know it has been a while since we’ve had one of these, but figured with the holidays, we all had things to keep us busy. But it’s a new year and we’re back with our first photo. But before we get to it, let’s go over our last one. It was from the 2012 film Grabbers, which I have to say is a perfect film to have watched on New Year’s Eve. I mean when you have a plot that involves monsters that won’t eat you if your drunk, what better night to watch then last night, right? In all the years I’ve been doing these little mystery pics, I don’t think I’ve had this many correct answers sent in. And since it is an old classic film instead of a new popular one, that makes it even more special for me because it is obviously not just me that grew up watching this great little piece of cinema. The film of course is The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966), starring the always amusing Don Knotts. Happy December! That’s right…only a few more weeks before 2017 is over and done and we can hope that 2018 is a little better. I did say “hope”….but for now, let’s get to our new Mystery Photo. This was after the success of Hitchcock’s Psycho, Hammer decided to try their hand and these kind of thrillers with a nice twist at the end, which they did a rather nice job of too! Now that the Halloween season is official over, though for most of us, it’s never is over, we will continue on with what we do every day….celebrating the horror genre! And what better what to do that then start off with a little pictorial puzzle, right? But before we get to this week’s, let us go over our last photo. It was from the 1964 film Castle of Blood, starring the alluring Barbara Steele. Unfortunately, we only got one person that recognized this shot and that was Hoby Abernathy. Well done, my friend!
