I know this kind of sounds like I’m working PR for the Music Box Theatre, but it just happens to be one of the best theaters around… and it’s somewhat local. BUT… it really comes down to helping to get the word out about an experience that fans of sci-fi and horror films all should take advantage of when they can.
On Saturday, November 14th, at 11:30am, they are screening Jack Arnold’s It Came from Outer Space (1953), using the Music Box’s XpanD 3D active shutter system. Founder and President of the 3-D Film Archive Bob Furmanek will be there to introduce the films. That’s right, there are 2 other features being presented. On Nov. 15th at 11:30am, they will be screening Jackie Chan’s Magnificent Bodyguards (1978), and then on Monday, Nov. 16th, they will be screening the Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis’ comedy Money from Home, being screened in Chicago for the first time in 3D.
Mark your calendar to go out and experience some classic cinema in 3D! Just click HERE to get to the Music Box’s website about these screenings.
