We’ve only got 2 more events coming up before we call the 2026 World Tour complete. The first one is the last actual convention, which is the Monster Bash Conference in Cranberry Township, PA, which is next weekend, Oct. 16th-18th. We always have a blast there and looking forward to once again get to hang out there. Plus, the fact their Mexican Movie Night on Friday is Ladrón de cadáveres aka The Body Snatcher from 1957, has got me really excited. Might have to get a nap in there somewhere so I can make sure I stay awake for it! You can find out all the details about the show by clicking HERE.

If all goes well, and the U.S. Postal Service is working in our favor, I’ll have a few book titles we’ve never had before on our table at the Bash. Fans of classic horror films will be very excited, as we’re hoping to have a few books from author Christopher Lock, such as the ones shown above. Keep those fingers crossed!
Then the very next weekend, Oct. 24th, we’re staying a little closer, and heading to the Music Box Theatre in Chicago for this year’s Music Box of Horrors. As always, they have one hell of a lineup for this year, hitting some time-honored classics to newer ones that can still pack a punch. If you were one of those sitting at your computer when the tickets went on sale and got one, then you can see their full lineup HERE. Each year, the tickets sell out quicker and quicker. That just shows the kind of programming and fun the Music Box has become known for, where fans are willing to buy tickets without even seeing the entire lineup. I can’t tell you how damn cool that is but also shows the mutual respect from both the fans and the theater. And we are thrilled to be vending there, in our usual spot just inside the lounge. I’m not sure if I could stay awake for it, but the fact they are screening The Devil’s Wedding Night (1973), starring the incredibly beautiful Rosalba Neri is just a cherry on top!
Also, to those Jess Franco fans, we have restocked our infamous “Jess Franco Died For Your Sins” shirt, with the Music Box’s own Will Morris modeling one here, and will have them available at the Music Box of Horrors. We only have a limited amount, so if you’re interested, come see us fast!
After this show, we are taking a much-needed rest. At least for a week, which I’m hoping to spend the last week of October really enjoying the holiday season and watching a bunch of movies! But if you’re making it out to either of these events, stop by our table and say hello!
