I know. My Christmas list is going to be HUGE with all these titles coming out. Granted, I may need to add a new bookshelf as well. And maybe a place to put it too… But anyway, I recently came across these two titles from BearManor Media and since they are both on some Universal classics, I knew I had to post about them. And being they are written by Tom Weaver and Gregory William Mank, you know they are going to be packed full of great information.

The Ghost of Frankenstein: Your Nuts-and-Neckbolts Guide to the 1942 Thriller is a tribute to one of my personal favorites from the Universal Frankenstein series. I have very fond memories of seeing this as a kid and just loving it. This 250-page book has production history, a ton of photos, plenty of facts, and more.

The second book is The Kharis Chronicles: Those Memorable Mummy, that covers the 4 Kharis mummy movies Universal made in the ’40s, The Mummy’s Hand, which starred Tom Tyler, then Lon Chaney Jr. taking the role for The Mummy’s Tomb, The Mummy’s Ghost, and The Mummy’s Curse. This 368 page book will contain production histories, movie memories, anecdotes, facts, photos, and a lot of fun.
