That’s right. One quarter of a century, sitting here at the Krypt, plugging away, always with the goal of helping other fans discover more of this wonderful thing we call the horror movie genre. When I started, the Krypt was little more than posts about DVD releases, an occasional movie review, and maybe even some movie news, but always trying to put my own personal spin on it, as opposed to just copying and pasting news from other sites.

I’d like to think that the site has progressed over those two and a half decades, really trying to encourage other fans to continue to seek out other movies, and to learn more about the genre. Not having a lot of friends growing up that shared by obsessive fandom for horror movies, I wasn’t satisfied with just watching the films, reading about them and those that worked on them. In fact, the main reason I started the site was that I wanted a place where I could share my love of the genre. Even if a ton of people weren’t visiting the site, the Krypt gave me that place, that little soapbox to express my thoughts and opinions, hoping to connect and maybe even inspire other like-minded fans.

We all know the saying of “all work and no play” and I really do believe that motto, and feel you need a passion in your life to keep you sane. The Krypt has done that for me for the last 25 years, and I know it will continue to do that for years to come.

Through this site, I have met and made many friends over the years, directly because of the Krypt. So that is something that I am even more thankful for.

So, thank you for those that have been following me for years, or even days. I appreciate you coming here to Krypt to spend some time here. I appreciate the emails, the comments, the questions, and everything else. We all know that being a horror fan immediately puts you on the outside of society, but here at the Krypt, you are one of us and definitely welcome!
