Euro Horror Shock Show!

I know we posted about this back in January, but with the show only 2 weeks away, we wanted to put this little reminder out in case you forgot. But in two weeks from tomorrow, thanks to the wonderful House of Monsters, you’ll have the chance to see TWO Paul Naschy flicks on the big screen, as well as two other great Euro horror titles. Just think about that for a minute . . . when was the last time you had a chance to see the Spanish horror icon Paul Naschy in a theater, filled with other like-minded horror fans?

Wait . . . not too familiar with Naschy? Then now is your chance to see two of his best films, The Hunchback of the Morgue (1973) and Mummy’s Revenge (1975).

But that is only HALF the show!!! You’ll also get the chance to see works of art from two other Euro Horror master filmmakers, Joe D’Amato and Lucio Fulci. Death Smiles on a Murderer (1974) is the first film he was actually credited for, and even under his real name, Aristide Massaccesi. The film stars the one and only Klaus Kinski, so what more could you need? Then the last film of the marathon is Lucio Fulci’s 1971 masterpiece, Don’t Torture a Duckling. If you think that all Fulci could do was his gore films in the late ’70s & early ’80s, then this is your chance to see just how great of a director he was with this amazing giallo about someone killing young boys in a small out of the way town in Italy.

This amazing event is taking place on April 22nd, at the Davis Theater, located at 4614 North Lincoln Ave., in Chicago, IL. Tickets are only $15 presale, or $20 if you get them at the door. There will also be vendors and all sorts of fun to keep you occupied in between the films, such as trailers and introductions to the films.

We hope to see a crowded house of rabid horror fans at this event because who knows, maybe it will inspire the mad genius from House of Monsters to put on more of these events?!?!? For all the latest info, check out the event page HERE.
