Great episode! After listening to this I got a few ideas for some more books to get!
I do particularly like the books of John Kenneth Muir, whom you touched on only briefly. I love the way he introduces each decade by going over what was going on in the country at the time and uses it as a way to illustrate how that relates to the movies being made. horror always seems to reflect the time it was made in and the fears of that time so his intros always seem to help understand the movies a little better.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks Chris! I am also a big fan of Muir’s work, and am excited to add his Horror Films of the 2000s to my library. Although, I am sad that he leaves out a lot of titles from the decades he covers. But I guess they would be even bigger books!

Can’t believe you didn’t mention Going to Pieces or The Horror of it All. Poor Adam is weeping quietly next to his photo of William Hurt from Alien. (That’s a joke, folks.)

HA! It’s been a while since me and Adam had a knockdown, drag out “discussion” on the finer points of Let Sleeping Corpses Lie.
