Horrors at the Skyline Drive-in!

In the last few days, the Skyline Drive-In in Shelbyville, IN, announced several weekends of horror lineups coming up in October. I’m not sure how many of them I’ll make, but I know I’ll be there for the last one I have listed! For all the information head over to their Facebook page HERE.

Below is the events they have listed and what will be screening. Start making your plans!

Scariest Movies of All Time Part 1
Oct. 2nd & 3rd
Poltergeist (1982)
The Amityville Horror (1979)
The Exorcist (1973)

Camp Skyline 3
Oct. 9th
Friday the 13th part 2 (1981)
The Town that Dreaded Sundown (1976)
The Prowler (1981)

Oct. 10th
Scream (1996)
Sleepaway Camp (1983)
A Bay of Blood (1971)

Scariest Movies of All Time Part 2
Oct. 16th
The Evil Dead (1981)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
The Last House on the Left (1973)

And the one that I am most excited about is their recently announced Hammer Fest! It’s not too often you get to see some of Hammer’s classics on the big screen, let alone at a drive-in! The fact that we are going to have the opportunity to see not one, not two or three, but EIGHT classic titles from the famous Studio that Dripped Blood is just an incredible thing. Yes, we can watch every single one of these at home, on a brand new Blu-ray, but I can’t tell you how that is just not the same. Like the mad doctor Frankenstein himself, they have compiled a collection of some of the best of what Hammer Films created, from Frankenstein to Dracula, Mummies to vampires, devil worshippers, and alien invasions from 50 million years ago.

Hammer Fest
Oct. 23
Horror of Dracula (1957)
The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959)
The Mummy (1959)
Scream of Fear (1961)

Oct. 24
The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)
Quatermass and the Pit (1967)
The Devil Rides Out (1968)
The Vampire Lovers (1970)

  1. I’m excited about the horror shows lined up for the Skyline drive-in too. I’m hoping to go to the Friday the 13th one at least. My sister and I went to the Monsterfest and had a blast! They had horror host Sammy Terry there. The food there is great too! Hoping to purchase your book soon!
