The full lineup for this September’s Drive-In Super Monster-Rama at the Riverside Drive-In in Vandergrift, PA, has been announced. And, like always, it is a doozy!

Any fans of Pilipino horror, Green Blood, and the dreaded chlorophyll monster, and of course John Ashley, are not going to want to miss Friday night’s features, since they will be screening the infamous Blood Island Trilogy: Brides of Blood (1968), The Mad Doctor of Blood Island (1968), and it’s sequel Beast of Blood (1970). Then the 4th and last feature is actually technically the very first Blood Island movie, Terror is a Man (1959). Would it be too much to hope that they are passing out little packets of green blood so we can all take the famous “Oath of the Green Blood”???

Then on Saturday, we get a mixture of titles, all ready to blow your mind. Fans of kaiju will be thrilled to see King Kong vs Godzilla (1962) followed by King Kong Escapes (1967). Then you’ll get to see the brand new 4K scan of The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972), followed by The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (1962).

If all goes well, we will be attending this event. We were there back in 2011 and have been wanting to go back each and every year, but something always came up. So fingers are crossed nothing will happen this year and we’ll be out there enjoying these fantastic movies.
