Next month, at the annual Flashback Weekend will be taking place at the Crown Plaza, in Rosemont, IL., one of the many guests that will be attending is legendary director Don Coscarelli, the man who gave us the highly memorable film Phantasm. Phans had been hearing that the original film was getting the remastered treatment for an upcoming release, but now you can have the chance to see this new print screened at a theater!

On Friday Aug. 5th and Saturday Aug. 6th, at the Muvico Rosemont Theater, they will be screening this newly remastered print, with Coscarelli there to introduce the movie, both nights. You will also get to see an extended trailer for the next film in this series, Phantasm: Ravager.

For all the information about the Flashback Weekend, such as the complete guest lineup, head over to their site HERE. We will be set up there, just like we have been since they started this show back in 2002. So if you’re heading out for the show, make sure to look us up!
I went to the first Flashback Weekend and had a great time catching Sleepaway Camp and Cannibal Holocaust on the big screen. I can’t believe it’s been 14 years!

I was at that show as well. Got to see Bubba Ho-Tep and Blood Feast 2 on the big screen. Time flies, as they say.

If I remember correctly, one of them was a surprise screening. It was also my first opportunity to meet Dave Friedman.
