The fine folks behind the Super-Horror-Rama events held at the Music Box Theatre every month continue to program some really interesting titles. Last this month, they screen two films that take place in a movie theater, with Popcorn and Demons! Next month, they are doing it again, except moving from a theater to trains!
On Friday, December 12th, at 11:45pm, they are screening Terror Train (1980), directed by Roger Spottiswoode and starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Ben Johnson, and David Copperfield. This one just one of many titles that helped Jamie Lee Curtis become one of the early scream queens of the ’80s. A slightly dated film, but a lot of fun.
On Saturday, December 13th, at 11:45pm, they are screening Horror Express (1972), directed by Eugenio Martín. This is star-studded horror extravaganza, with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee leading the way, then Telly Savalas shows up for a bit! But the rest of the cast is filled with a bunch of Euro-horror stars in their own right, likes Alberto de Mendoza, Silvia Tortosa, Julio Peña, Jorge Rigaud, Helga Liné, and Víctor Israel.
