Webster University Film Series is putting the spotlight on one of our favorite directors, Lucio Fulci, and one that I honestly think is still underrated outside of the horror fans. And now is your chance to learn why!

Every Thursday in April one of Fulci films will host a live discussion about the film. The idea is to watch the film at some point before the event, then join them to hear a different speaker each week discuss the specific title. The selections for April Fulcis are:

Zombie (1979) – April 1st at 7pm – Join Kea Wilson, author of the novel We Eat Our Own, as discussions probably Fulci’s most famous title. 

City of the Living Dead (1980) – April 8th at 7pm – Join Rondo Award-Winning genre film journalist, editor of two best selling film guidebooks, Horror 101 and Hidden Horror, as well as running his blog, Horror 101 with Dr. AC, Aaron Christensen. 

The Beyond (1981) – April 15th at 7pm – Owner & Editor-in-Chief of DestroytheBrain.com, Creator and Programmer of Late Nite Grindhouse, Andy Triefenback will be on hand to discuss Fulci’s waking nightmare!

House by the Cemetery (1981) – April 22nd at 7pm – Webster University’s own Associate Dean of the School of Communications, Aaron AuBuchon will be here to talk about the benefits of buying real estate next to a graveyard. 

Don’t Torture a Duckling (1972) – April 29th at 7pm – Troy Howarth, author of Splintered Visions: Lucio Fulci and His Films, will be discussing a lesser known title from Fulci, but one that more people need to know about.
