We’re about a month away from completing a year’s tour of duty in the Kryptic Army. It’s been fun reading some of the entries from the ones participating, even getting some good suggestions for movies to watch. Strangely though, for all of those that seemed to be glad it was back, we didn’t seem to get the participation that I thought we would have. So my question to you out there, do we go another year?
While I’m thrilled at the soldiers that have been leaving their feedback every month, which I love reading and responding to, and keeping the conversations going, I feel we need to get more than a handful of people to participate to really make it worth it. I mean, the whole point after all is not only to give you a monthly challenge, but also to spark that conversations and discussions. Especially with no conventions, it should have been even more of an opportunity to get on the soapbox. But unfortunately, not so much.
So soldiers… what say you? Do we go for another year?

I was actually referring to the Kryptic Army project that we’ve been doing last year.

I just joined the army last year and have only failed my mission 1 or 2 times. I really enjoy being a part of it and hope it continues. It gives me a chance to watch movies I might not have watched and I like reading ideas from others.

I’d love to see it continue; however, I’m one of those that has not participated regularly. So, take my comment for what it’s worth.

I deserve to be court martialled for desertion because I quickly signed up for another tour of duty and then didn’t show up. Maybe once? Will try harder. Gotta avoid the firing squad.

No worries, Cate. No firing squad here! Maybe a little bit of ridicule, but that’s about the worse of it! Hehehe.
Honestly, the whole point I started doing this way back when was because a lot of us fans have SO many movies sitting around that we just never seem to get to. Plus, because the genre is so vast, a lot of times we don’t tend to seek something out because there is such an abundance of titles just waiting for us, especially streaming. So this was an idea of a way to get fans to go old school and have to SEEK OUT a couple of movies, or knock a couple that they sitting in their TO-WATCH pile that they keep going out.
And yes, bringing out the conversations about them, is also a bonus, as well as giving others a possible film to look into.
So yes…my devilish plans run quite deep!!!

Oops, almost missed this post…! Well, from my end, I’ve been keeping this up for quite some months straight now, during this soon-to-end battlefield of a year… So, yeah, why not keep things going?
Furthermore, I like the creativity in how you come up with ideas for various mission themes, Jon. It’s always a fun surprise popping up every month. Onward, I’d say, swords drawn, into next year…
