With all these conventions being cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled, while it sucks that we don’t get to attend them and hang out and have fun, there are a lot of those vendors where doing shows like that are their livelihood! Missing a show can have an impact on their income, making it difficult do simple things like pay rent and buy food. Yesterday, I saw a posting from Del from the Dark Delicacies reminding people of this fact, and that a lot of them have online stores to purchase items from them that you would have picked up from them at the show. I think this is a brilliant (and a damn thoughtful) idea and wanted to pass that on here.

If one of these shows that was coming up in the next month that you had planned on going, I’m assuming you already had money set aside for it. So why not take some of what you were already planning on spending, and showing your support to some of these dealers that really could use those sales! Whether it might be for some T-shirts or Hoodies, artwork, DVDs and Blu-rays, or whatever else, reach out to them and make a purchase. Even if they might not have a full inventory up on their site, you can always send them an email and make some inquiries!

Remember the point of all of this is to support our horror friends and families. I know I am not the only one that considers a lot of the people I know from these cons as family, so why not help your extended family during their time of need. Trust me, even if it just a $20 T-shirt or movie, every little bit is going to help them within the next month or so.
