Two weeks from today, the Music Box Theatre will once again unleash the terror from their projector, screening 13 features (with 10 of them being from actual 35mm prints!) in this year’s The Music Box of Horrors! Since our last post, they have added one final feature to the lineup, Dario Argento’s Opera (1987), which will be the Italian uncut version, playing in Chicago for the first time! This is actually Argento’s personal 35mm print being screened! How cool is that?

Add that to the already great lineup and we have another 24-hours of madness, all set to take place on Oct. 13th at noon! Below is the final schedule so get your tickets now, which are still only $30 up until the day before the event.

The guests include Kevin J. O’Connor from Clive Barker’s Lord of Illusions, Stephen Sommers Deep Rising, Van Helsing and the Mummy movies, not to mention the countless other memorable roles he’s created. He will be also promoting Blame It on Toby, which will have it’s Midwest premiere at the marathon. Plus Don Mancini, the writer of the original Child’s Play, not to mention carrying the torch for the whole series since then.

Of course, there will be the usual array of vendors (including us!), food trucks, and plenty of things to keep you busy. If you feel yourself getting a little sleepy during one of the flicks, come on out to the lobby and chat with one of the vendors! Hope to see you there!
