The latest issue of this best magazine devoted to Hammer Films, Little Shoppe of Horrors, will be releasing issue # 40 this month. The main theme for the issue is Quatermass and the Pit (1967) which will have a 26 page making of by Bruce G. Hallenbeck, one of the best Hammer authorities and writers around! There will also be an unpublished interview from the early ’70s with Rudolph Cartier, who was the man behind the original BBC Quatermass series, by Chris Knight. You will even get to hear from John Carpenter talk about the importance of Hammer, as well as Prof. Quatermass.
But it isn’t just on this film either. Like most issues of LSoH, it is filled with plenty of other goodies as well, including The Price of Candy: The Making of Never Take Sweets from a Stranger, by Constantine Nasr.

From a glorious fold out cover from Mark Maddox, to all the regular features and artwork inside, this is another must buy. Then again, reading through every issue of LSoH is a must. They don’t have issue #40 listed on their site just yet, but should be up any day now. Just go to this link (HERE) and keep checking.
One of the best mags out there. A friend gave me some old issues years and years ago and that got me into finding any and all Hammer films.

Completely agree. I’ve been buying them since issue #8 and am now ordering one of the older issues each time I order a new one! Great stuff.
