Once again, I’m listening to a score for a movie that I had never heard about, let alone seeing. But I really prefer it this way because the music then speaks for itself, letting your mind create images and feelings without being influenced by what you’re seeing on the screen. And right from the opening track, simply called Louis Drax, it does just that. It’s peaceful, somber, and quite calming. Those feelings seem to flow through the entire score. Track #3, entitled Clouds, is just a beautiful piece of music, with a simple but effective piano work.

For the most part, the entire score is like this. There are a few tracks, like # 11 Creature in the Hallways, that does build up some tension and suspense. But overall it is quite a different score than we’re used to listening here at the Krypt. But I do have to say I enjoyed it for being something so different. Good stuff.
