I have to give some kudos to composer Alex Khaskin for being able to create a score to a Christmas themed horror film, using somewhat familiar holiday themes and songs, but still weaving them together to create a film score that works quite well.

There are parts of this score that would lead you to think that it is score for a normal horror film, not one that is laced with holiday cheer, as well as terror. Khaskin does a very good job creating different types of moods with this score, from having slower, tension building sequences, as well as the louder, more heart-pounding action pieces. The beauty of it is on some of quieter pieces, you’ll hear a little clank of a chime or bell that just has the hint of the holiday season, but yet works perfectly.
