The horror genre has many different sub-genres and sub-categories. You can sort them by country, like the Italian or Japanese horror, or go with a particular director or actor, like Peter Walker or Paul Naschy, or even something as simple as Cannibal movies. As horror fans, particularly newer ones, you may or may not have heard of these people or sub-genres, but just aren't too familiar with them, or weren't sure where to start. Or maybe you'd see one or two from that category and want to explore a little farther down those darken halls. We'll this is one of the reasons we started this section.
Listed below will be different sub-genre categories, each with a list of films that we feel need to be seen. Of course, if you're not interested in that particular subject (at least not yet), then just move on to one that does spark your interests. These films should give you a general feel of what that country or filmmaker has to offer. Some might consider these a "best of", but we don't like to narrow a body of work like that. These are just ones that we feel are good titles to START with. Once we help get the ball rolling, it's up to you, the student, to keep it going.
